Through the Dukakis Center, we continue to focus on public policy issues related to housing, local economic development, workforce training, public finance, sustainable development and transportation policy. Each year, the Center produces the Greater Boston Housing Report Card, sponsored by The Boston Foundation. The Report Card provides invaluable data and analysis of the region's housing market and has led to the implementation of new state-level policies to expand affordable housing. Working with more than 100 municipalities, the Center's Economic Development Self-Assessment Tool (EDSAT) helps city and town officials improve their chances of attracting investment and jobs. With its partnership with the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), the Center has developed the Labor Market Assessment Tool (LMAT) which permits detailed forecasts of workforce requirements for detailed industries. In addition, the Center has partnered with groups including the Boys and Girls Club of Boston to develop evaluation tools for these organizations.
