I continue to work in the areas of homeland security and emergency management, rail transportation, and ideological currents in American politics, especially at the state and local level. Patrick Fisher and I recently finshed work on a new edition of my book, Public Budgeting, and I am also working on books on emergency management and homeland security. I think I will start on a new edition of the state and local government text I've done with John Harrigan some time in the next couple of years.
