Research is primarily focuses health and medical policy with NASA. In addition, research and scholarship have focused on medicine in extreme environments using telemedicine and telehealth. This includes adding to the literature materials on medical policy formulation for space flight, telemedicine/telehealth for a multinational telemedicine system for disasters (NATO-funded initiative) and development and publication of scholarly text books on the aforementioned subjects.
