Abstract: This is in the field of criminal justice policy. It is an analysis of a true crime, the brutal rape and killing of a young girl and the subsequent railroading of three scapegoats. Because of the voluntary efforts of many attorneys in the Chicago area and DNA evidence, the men were exonerated and the real killer apprehended but only after the killing of two other victims. This case demonstrates every kind of police and prosecutorial misbehavior currently in the criminal justice field.
