My research includes college student persistence and retention, particularly as it relates to distance learning programs, distance learning education policy, student learning outcomes, technology innovations that enable better learning, quality academic curriculum, and accreditation. In addition to his service to the University, Dr. Boston serves as an Advisory Board Member of the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment, as a Board Member of the Presidents' Forum, and as a member of the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
